Ghost Sex – Spectral Coitus or Paralyzing Dream Mechanisms

GHOST SEX “EXPERIENCES”

Accounts of spirit coitus have been popping up in the media over the last few years, and I don’t just mean from movies like Ghost or Ghostbusters. A handful of celebrities have hopped on the sexual spectral train, most notably Lucy Liu, Ke$ha and, Anna Nicole Smith who have all claimed to have experienced this “phenomenon”.

Another example, actress and musician Natasha Blasick, decided to share her experiences on a UK morning talk show…

“Their hands were pushing me against my will and then I could feel the weight of their body on top of me but I couldn’t see anybody. At first I was very confused then I decided to relax and it was really pleasurable, I really enjoyed it.”[sic]

And they’re not the only ones drawing media attention

PATTI NEGRI is a “good” witch, celebrity medium, and expert on ghost sex regularly speaks about this topic.

SIAN JAMESON made love to a 100-year-old ghost called Robert while she was staying in a remote cottage after a traumatic break up with her boyfriend. “It was very strange, but the sex was amazing!”

AMETHYST REALM lost her fiancé after he returned home early one day and saw “a male figure” on top of her through the window. “Once my fiancé had left, [we had sex] everywhere, [but] always within the building.”

AMANDA TEAGUE married her Haitian pirate ghost lover, “Jack” – who looks suspiciously like Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean character. They’re now writing a book together to give advice to others who are seeking spirit relationships.

HAS THE WORLD GONE MAD?

Well, yes and no.

There have always been fruit loops in the mix, but the idea of supernatural attraction is by no means a new idea. Sexual love of vampires is a primes example. Everyone, from Hollywood directors to housewives wants to lift their skirts for Dracula.

FUN FACTSpectrophilia is the formal word for those who experience arousal from ghosts.

We can go even further back and find Salem witch trials, medieval stories of Succubus and Incubus, ancient Greek works of medicine, Old English literature, and Japanese demon lore.

Our culture and history are ripe with this stuff.

REASONABLE CAUSES?

Even though there’s been little to no research about this topic, there are some interesting theories as to why this happens.

1. VIVID DREAMING – where some people can experience vivid hallucinations when falling in and out of sleep.

2. SLEEP PARALYSIS – A small percentage of people can experience sleep paralysis, where they wake up before their REM cycle has finished and the physiological mechanisms that prevents people from physically acting out their dreams leaves them immobile but fully aware.

This is accompanied by a deep sense of terror, difficulty breathing, hallucinations, and/or pressure on the chest. You are literally frozen while helplessly experiencing intense fear and pain.

An even smaller percentage of this group says that can also experience pleasure – which makes sense because the areas of our brains that process pain also process pleasure, and the corresponding natural chemicals are released to compensate.

CONCLUSIONS

Scientific theories or spiritual sexuality, it doesn’t matter. Ghost sex isn’t disappearing any time soon. And, even if you don’t believe in spectral spooks, it still makes for some pretty kinky role plays.
