These can be lovely, soft, and squishy romances with a dash of spice or ones that are so hard-core you’re going to question your entire concept of sexuality.
Not only that, but they also push erotic and technological boundaries to give the player an as immersive experience as possible. AKA, making sure you’re feeling the titillation in a VERY direct way.
One group you’ll often see in this porn space is visual novels (and the focus of today’s topic) – games that, interestingly enough, have a “love them or hate them” following. Those that love them want to play because it’s more relaxing than a shoot-em-up title while still offering excitement, challenge, mystery, and even action.

Fetish Locator Week 3 is the third installment from ViNovella Games. The games before are aptly called Fetish Locator and Fetish Locator Week 2.
And while this review is focusing on week 3 it is important to quickly touch on how it all began. In the first game, you play as a “young college student exploring love, lust, and sexual fetishes with the hottest women in town.”
This might sound pretty generic; however, it’s different from a lot of titles because usually, the protagonist in these sorts of games is a female that’s being corrupted. So it’s nice to see that it’s a guy exploring his fantasies.
Not long on campus, the main character discovers an app that has everyone on campus in a frenzy. It’s called The Fetish locator app – hence the name of the game. In this app, you post steamy pictures to gain points, participate in activities called fetish of the day, join fetish parties, etc. But you’ll also be exploring your sexual curiosity with the 20+ women on campus that are quite excited to get down and dirty with you.
In this animated visual novel, your choices will influence the direction of the story which will lead to one of many possible outcomes. All in all, the protagonist’s adventure takes place over three installments – the last one being Week 3.
Fetish Locator Artistic Expression & Visual Presentation
The visuals in “Fetish Locator 3” are actually beautifully crafted. There are times when the animations or models can look a little hinky. However, we’re not dealing with a multi-million movie company that can flush out all imperfections. So the fact that most of what you’re going to see is relatively polished in gaming terms, find quite impressive.
This includes the anatomical details being fairly decent, sexual encounters having believable animations, and moments in the Uncanny Valley being very limited.
Gameplay Mechanics & Narrative Choices
Fetish Locator 3 uses a branching storyline structure. This lets players make choices that impact character relationships and outcomes. I like this because these kinds of mechanics add depth. But more than that, it gives the game extra value through replayability. There are plenty of paths and “corruption choices to explore – especially if you decide to open up different kinks during other play-throughs.
One of the few downsides some might find in Fetish Locator Week 3 (if you can call it that) is that not all of the promised endings are currently available. This has frustrated many players – with negative ratings being the inevitable outcome.
However, there was one user comment that did make me look at this in a different way. They said that the currently available endings DID flush out the main storyline.
Also, the developers have said that the endings will be available in DLC. Some have called this a cash grab, but we don’t know what the pricing will be – could be free for all we know. Even if it isn’t the game, in in my opinion, is intact. Considering far too many titles are sold in a broken state from the get-go, and the fact that fetish locator week 3 is playable right until the end, I don’t find these negative reviews really to be that realistic.
Let’s also add that the “dialogue” and character interactions are not that bad – all things considered. However, some players might have differing opinions regarding the pacing, as the game depends on personal preferences and storytelling preferences.
Fetish Locator sets the standard for all NSFW games. All these lil twerps coming out with half-baked ideas/games would do well to aspire to what this game has done. There’s an ample amount of fetishes. The babes aren’t generic looking. Story line is unique.T he amount of story lines is amazing. This game is absolutely worth the price.

Connecting Lovense Toys for Interactive Immersion
All Lovense and sex game integrations are made to be quite simple. There is always an option in the main menu to connect your toy through a very simple step-by-step guide. This means that when your main character is having fun, you’ll be having even more fun – and hopefully plenty of orgasms that will outmatch what you’re seeing on screen.
I will say that I found some of the scenes over too quickly to “get to where I needed to be” – at least with the toy syncing to the animation. But being teased isn’t always a bad thing. You can always finish yourself off later if necessary. Because the Big O doesn’t always need to be the main goal.
But do you NEED a toy to play this game? Nope, it’s totally optional. It’s just a really fun addition if you want to get into immersive/interactive gaming.
Also, this is one of those games where a hand-free toy can be optional – since your digits won’t be in a frenzy like some action titles that have battles or quick choices. So, you’ll have the luxury of choosing anything from the Lovense library that floats your boat.

Fetish Locator Audio Design & Soundtrack
As for voice acting, it’s one of those games that relies on text more than anything. So you’re not going to get any actual speaking. It’s going to be more vocal sound effects that are related to emotional or physical reactions. It’ll be things like grunts of pleasure or exclamations of surprise.
Also, remember that it’s only the sex scenes that are animated and that have “voice acting” which is really just sexual sounds. I’m not saying this is a bad thing. Just something to keep in mind.
You’ll still have plenty of erotic moments as “still images” and they can be quite alluring. Again the only voice acting is going to be your own.
The music is varied and it made me giggle a bit at times because it had a “porno” feeling once in a while. But I think this was very much intentional because it is a porn game. However, at other times there were genuinely great tunes. Also, the trailer music was fantastic. There are people that love the music so much that the publisher made the soundtrack available for download. You can find it here if you end up liking it.
The songs in this game are really engaging and very well done, they match the scenes perfectly, I’m impressed. All the scenes are great and the endings complement the story well. Waiting for the DLCs

Fetish Locator prioritizes the importance of consent and player agency, which is fantastic. It not only lists everything you can expect to see on the Steam page. But it also lets players select which adult themes they are comfortable exploring.
So if water sports or scat aren’t you’re thing, you can turn them off in the menu (before you start playing). But you do need to have at least a FEW checked off.
I like this option a lot because it empowers players to engage in the game within their personal boundaries, respecting their comfort levels and preferences. Also, on the purchase page, they include trigger warnings for potentially sensitive topics, so people can decide from the get-go if they want to buy it or not.
The game shows a responsible approach in its portrayal of fetishes, taking into account the potential impact on players.
But, it’s important for players to approach the game with self-awareness and mindfulness. They need to take care of their own emotional well-being throughout the experience (with this or any game of its genre).

Developed by an independent studio, it explores a niche subject matter that may not be suitable for all players. However, for those with an open mind and a curiosity for the unconventional, this game offers an engaging and unique adventure.

As an enticing, underwear-wetting visual novel, Fetish Locator Week 3 (and the two games before) delivers an immersive and knee-buckling experience. With its exploration of fetishes, diverse character representation, and emphasis on player consent, the game pushes sexual exploration while still respecting personal boundaries.
Would I recommend this game? Definitely! Many have already mentioned it as one of the first erotic gaming experiences that they use as a benchmark against other adult graphic novels. And I can totally understand why. Personally, I liked that I could come and go with the game as I pleased and didn’t feel like I had to rush the experience.
Plus, the sex toy connection was utterly yummy.

On another personal note, I would like to see one of their next porn/harem games where there is more variation in sexual choices. The main character seems to be geared towards mostly dominant – at least through the three titles in general. Future titles could include more options to explore submission/bottoming, even same-sex choices (at least in the initial menu filters – giving all players the ultimate choice in playstyle).
