It’s Whisper App to the rescue. There’s pretty much anything from any category you can imagine…
DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS?
If you’re unfamiliar with this app, it’s very simple. All you do is anonymously upload a tidbit of juicy information or “confession”, choose a pic from their menu (or upload your own), and then post it for the world to see.
And it’s getting millions and MILLIONS of downloads.
Aside from getting random confessions on your phone (and the ability to comment on them) the website puts many of them into Buzzfeed-like collections.

So why is this app getting more attention than a scantily clad girl at a comic convention?
There isn’t one answer, but more likely a handful of powerful reasons.
- Needing to share something but having no one in RL to talk to.
- Wanting to know you’re not alone in your feelings or problems.
- A strong need for attention
- The pleasant (and addicting) chemical reaction we get when someone gives us positive attention.
Although, I’m not sure what positive attention you would get with the two…
There are, of course, people who use it for the wrong/unintended reasons. And I don’t mean this next one…
These particular confessers are at least using it the “right way”. What I friggin hate are the people that turn it into a dating app…
“Hey, I’m off work. Anyone want to chat?”
“Anyone want to chat with a military guy?”
“Hi, girls. I have a big cock. Anyone want to hook up?”
Personally, I love this app. I’m not going to get it, but I’ll still be stalking the website for various, sordid collections.
And, whether they’re real or not, doesn’t matter. It’s the entertainment value, plus the occasional “Ohhh. I relate to THAT” moments.
