Even after all these years of writing and existing the crazy world of sex toys and adult products, I still find myself surprised once in a while … and not always by insane things. I stumbled up on this one while doing a chill browse of kinks and bondage…
Blanket bondage.
It was very intrigued and looked into it further.
But I found a snag in my search.

Yeah, it’s no surprise that a majority of the Google searches was porn. There were very little references pages or proper how-to guides. Still, the videos ended up going around the same themes and one Reddit conversation was very helpful.
THE LITTLE I’VE LEARNED
- It seems very similar to bag or plastic bondage – in that the entire body (except the head) is wrapped up.
- There is more rope than tape. I think this is to allow more breathability and less over-heating. This means, however, that you’ll have to have a basic knowledge of knots and tying.
- Speaking of overheating, this appears to be the number one factor that tops need to keep an eye on and subs need to communicate.
- Cotton vs fuzzy – not really much of a debate. I think it boils down to whatever you prefer.
The kink levels for this also land to more of the vanilla side. Yes, there are wonderful pervs out there who get off on it, but one explanation was that it felt like swaddling or a weighted blanket. So, comfort and calm could be the end goal. Another fabulous idea what that it was like a huge bear hug. So cute!
Although, I have seen sex toys, tickling, and other kinks integrated with it – no surprise there. One of my favorites was the bottom listening to music while wearing a ball gag and their partner rested on top of them.
