What is the Kivin Method? Try a New Angle to Oral Sex … Literally

When it comes to sex, there is a Grand Canyon’s worth of how-to articles out there – even I’ve written my fair share. How to have the best orgasm, how to have your first BDSM experience, how to stick a metal rod up your urethra.

One of the most in demanded and covered is…

You guessed it…

Anything around oral sex. Mostly because it’s so different for each person that we end up needed several how-tos in order to find the one that makes our partner spasm.

A Reddit thread has ended up being the “source” of a “new” approach – and when I say new, I mean that it’s not something everyone has probably tried.

Say hello to the Kivin Method – also known as “sideways oral.”

It comes with, as with most things in this genre, bold promises – things like record-breaking speeds, increased intensity, and a high percentage of success at producing an orgasm in general (a “sure-fire” fix if your girl has problems reaching climax).

This, however, is purely anecdotal evidence.

But that doesn’t mean you should try it.  Here’s how…

  • Put a finger on either side of the clit
  • Gently and slowly raise it to expose the area better
  • Sweep your tongue across the hood
  • Keep steady, building speed
  • When she gets closer, move to focus on the clit

It’s not that different from straight-on oral sex, but the idea is to stimulate more of the surrounding area than just on the nub – the clit, and corresponding nerve endings, are much larger than most people realize and the Kivin Method allows you to focus on a larger amount of happy real estate.

Another tip…

Put your fingers on her perineum and feel for muscle contractions to see if you’re going down the right path.

“The reason you will get immediate feedback is when your tongue is stroking in the correct place, the woman will experience involuntary, preorgasmic contractions in this area,” says Chris and Charlotte Rose, hosts of the podcast Speaking of Sex.

SIDE NOTE: There isn’t actually anyone to “credit” for this sex move, but I don’t think anyone can really say they “discovered” it.

Reddit user sreed1 gave his feedback… “The other hand is supposed to feel for muscle contractions at, and apply light pressure to, the perineum. My wife found that unpleasant, but I soon found that gently pressing my finger against her anal sphincter worked really well! She came within about five minutes.

“The key is to keep the pace and pressure consistent (probably true of oral sex in general for most people.)

“After a little awkwardness feeling out the right positioning for me and for her leg, as well as working out what to do with my hands, she was soon responding very positively. She came within about five minutes of me finding the rhythm and best hand position. This was definitely a big change – I often go 15-20 minutes and have her teetering on the edge without managing to get her to come.”

My opinion?

It certainly doesn’t hurt to try (and I’m definitely going to).
