Vaping after sex (or even during) shouldn’t be a surprise – after all, it’s been the cliché to light up a stick during post-coital bliss. But with the recent string of lung problems, lung failures, or even deaths apparently linked to vaping, perhaps we should take a step back and look at the current information…
IS VAPING LIKE A CIGARETTE?
Well, yes and no – it depends on what liquid or “juice” you use. You can buy them from high levels of nicotine to zero levels. They come in a variety of flavors from traditional tobacco to cherry. The two differ greatly because vape lacks the smoke and harmful chemicals of a normal ciggy.
VAPING AND THE SEX CONNECTION
Aside from lighting up after sex (some people say it gives them a mind rush while relaxing them at the same time), some people just don’t like the taste of tobacco mouth or the smoke in general. Then there is the issue of second-hand smoke.
However…
Now there is the practice of vaping and making love while immersed in the swirls, clouds, and smells.
Also…
There are also fetishes surrounding smoking – human ashtrays, capnolagnia (being turned on by the sight and smell of someone smoking), integrating vaping with other kinky or BDSM practices like flogging or pegging. There are now hundreds of thousands of porn clips dedicated to sexual vaping, which can be as tame as someone just sitting there all the way to blowing smoke in complicated patterns or into various orifices.
VAPING AND SEXUAL HEALTH
It’s not surprising that cigarettes (from the nicotine to the other harmful chemicals) can have a drastic and devastating effect on your libido and ability to get aroused or an erection. But here’s the rub…
If you’re still vaping with any amount of nicotine, you’re still exposing yourself to the same health problems.
How?
Nicotine has been proven to reduce sexual arousal not to mention causing the blood vessels to narrow and blow flow to be reduced – hence the ED problems. It also gets worse the longer you indulge.

CONCLUSION
- Is vaping a good way to help quit smoking? Yes
- Should non-smokers get into this fad? I would say no
- Is vape juice with nicotine a good sub for cigarettes? No
- Is vaping safe in general? Unknown
Since it’s such a new fad, there’s still not much scientific info on long-term usage – no matter what kind of juice you use. Is a low dose of juice better than a cigarette? Yes, but you’re still dealing with second-hand smoke, etc.
It’s all one great big middle of “It’s better but it’s still not great” conundrums.
All in all? I would err on the side of caution, nix the nico, and keep it away from a partner.
